How we choose a technology

We start from the users, the content, the integrations, the service level, and the capabilities of the team that will operate the solution. We then compare security, accessibility, maintainability, total cost, and ease of observability. A technology doesn't get into the project just because it's trending.

We always look for the simplest architecture that meets the requirements. An editorial portal can be solved entirely in Drupal; an advanced search may need Solr; a highly interactive experience may justify Angular; and an asynchronous integration may fit better in Node.js. Every piece needs a clear boundary and a clear owner.
