ICDE

Our experts took part in designing, developing, and launching the geospatial information portal, defining the logic for presenting data and the tools for understanding, querying, and downloading it.

2021 - 2024

ICDE is the coordinating body for the country's geographic information producing entities, which generate valuable content for identifying, analyzing, and producing national geographic information.

The challenge was twofold: on one hand, exposing geospatial data openly and in a queryable way; on the other, ensuring clear reference frameworks, reliable download mechanisms, and input quality, all within the framework of strengthening territorial capabilities with a Multipurpose Cadastre approach.

Insights

Insights

  • Building the portal on a content management framework from scratch made it possible to integrate custom developments that turned the presentation of complex geospatial data into clearer queries and downloads for users.
  • The team's involvement covered both defining the data presentation logic and developing specific tools for understanding it, ensuring the solution wasn't just visual but also functional from the technical foundation.

Results

To meet this challenge, a team of interdisciplinary consultants (which included members of Coresis) designed and implemented the ICDE's cross-cutting portal from scratch.

The work included developing specific tools for understanding and querying geographic information, as well as building a digital environment designed for knowledge transfer and positioning the strategy nationwide.
