We implemented the platform to manage a significant volume of content, procedures, and services, bringing together the institutional portal, the intranet, and its cross-cutting microsites.
2017 - 2020
The Colombian Institute of Family Welfare needed to consolidate a secure, robust digital ecosystem aligned with current regulations. The challenge wasn't limited to the public site: the solution had to organize the institutional portal, the intranet, and cross-cutting microsites, support a significant volume of content, procedures, programs, and services, and make it easier to comply with the Transparency and Public Information Access Law without centralizing all publishing in a single team. As an operational constraint, numerous owners needed to keep editorial autonomy within a shared architecture and shared publishing criteria.
Insights
- The migration to Drupal 7 consolidated a common manager for the portal, intranet, and microsites, with a more stable foundation aligned with the digital government guidelines applicable to the project.
- Modeling content and editorial responsibilities turned publishing procedures and services into a clearer, more distributed, and more maintainable process for internal teams.
- Adapting content and microsites required preserving context, hierarchies, and transparency obligations while all the information was organized under a shared digital standard.
